2.4 kernel porting patches for the IPW2200 driver (1.0 releases)

I've tried to backport the 1.0.3 driver when it became available, but I 
found that 'iwlist scan' was able to crash the kernel ... :-(

Unfortunately, I have problems with finding the time to debug it, due to  
teaching commitments (BTW, I have to ask for permission to use the laptop 
of a colleague at work to debug the crash ...)

I know that someone at CERN is interested in looking into this, maybe we 
will have some news soon ....
